Navigational Aids Specialist

The Role
Ventia are looking to engage a Navigation Aids Specialist to join our Department of Transport contract based in South Fremantle. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will see you coordinate, deliver, and provide technical knowledge and support for the maintenance and operation of navigational aids across Western Australia.
Operating within the Navigational Aids Team, this role will include planning, execution, compliance, and continuous improvement of all navigation aid-related works, while leading a high-performing team and ensuring all statutory and company requirements are met.
We are seeking someone who is comfortable and capable of leading a team in outdoor environments and on the water when required. While there may be opportunities to work outside, this position will primarily be based in the office. An emphasis on safety and a strong understanding of navigational aids operations is important. This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday-Friday.

Requirements
• Sound understanding of mooring components desirable
• Proven experience in a marine or navigation environment
• Experience in a supervisor or leadership role
• Strong organisational, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage compliance with statutory and company requirements.
• Good computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Current drivers licence
