Our program management (PgM) team delivers structured, outcome-focused projects that generate social, economic, and environmental value. Leveraging our multi-disciplinary expertise and deep industry knowledge, we partner with public and private asset owners to manage critical programs across buildings, water, defence, transport, clean energy, and disaster recovery—from early planning through to completion, driving transformational change and long-term impact across geographies. Our PgM team comprises of a diverse group of project managers, contract administrators, advisory specialists, cost controllers, project planners and project administrators, all focussed on delivering the best outcomes for our clients and their projects.

Our Advisory Team supports clients as a trusted partner to deliver infrastructure of the future; working across the whole infrastructure asset lifecycle, advising on investments and decisions that drive value and proactively respond to disruptive change.

Our advisory team are looking for an Associate Director – Business Case & Economics to join their growing team based in Brisbane. In this role, you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that helps clients 'bring ideas to life' across the built environment, infrastructure, energy and resources, and government.

Our Associate Directors form the key touch points of our business with our clients, delivering quality outputs that generate tangible outcomes for their challenges. They're enabled and supported to build the business and grow service streams, working with and developing our colleagues' capabilities to serve client needs.

How you'll make a difference:

• Provide Infrastructure Advisory and consulting services to public and private clients
• Lead the development of business cases, procurement processes, asset decision frameworks, strategic and tactical asset management and technical advisory services, collaboratively drawing in the other expertise of AECOM
• Maintain and further develop relationships with a wide range of clients and critical external and internal stakeholders
• Help lead and to grow a team focused on delivering high standards of service

The qualities that will help you thrive:

• Ideally, 12 + years of experience in advisory or business case development roles
• Project experience at all phases of a project's life cycle and particularly business case stages and in asset management planning
• A demonstrated ability to foster and evolve client relationships
• Skills in developing and analysing financial and operational models and articulating results and recommendations well is essential
• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Commerce/Economics, Sciences, Project Management, or similar. Asset Management or Engineering qualifications/certifications are desirable.
