The Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (CNS2) plays a pivotal role in delivering compassionate, coordinated care within the Supportive and Palliative Care service across NBMLHD. This dynamic position ensures patients and their carers experience a seamless journey through the care continuum, from hospital to home, with dignity and support at every stage. As a highly skilled Registered Nurse, the CNS2 brings advanced clinical expertise and autonomy to the provision of complex nursing care, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

What you will bring to the role

• Current registration with AHPRA - Division 1 Registered Nurse
• Post-registration qualifications in palliative care
• At least 3 years full time equivalent experience in palliative care nursing
• Commitment to champion, educate and lead a multidisciplinary team to improve patients' outcomes as part of a team
• Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making abilities according to best practice
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, family/carers and a diverse range of health care providers
• Demonstrated commitment to clinical practice development
• Current Driver's License and willingness to use for work purpose travel. This may include driving long distances across the LHD.
