TP Human Capital is working with a government client in Townsville to recruit a
Network Engineer
on a contract basis until
June 2026
. This role offers
36.25 hours per week
at a rate of
$68 per hour
.

You will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the organisation's network infrastructure. The role involves configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting hardware and network systems to ensure stable and secure operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up routers, switches, firewalls, and access points
  • Configure network protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF)
  • Implement VLANs and subnetting
  • Monitor network performance and availability
  • Perform routine system maintenance and upgrades
  • Manage network logs and system alerts
  • Diagnose and resolve connectivity and performance issues
  • Respond to outages and service disruptions
  • Provide technical support to end-users and IT staff

Requirements

  • Minimum
    10 years of relevant industry experience
  • At least
    3 to 5 years in network engineering role
  • Strong experience with enterprise network hardware and protocols
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
