Gallery Assistant

VAS Gallery is hiring for our casual roster We're currently accepting applications for gallery assistants with barista & hospitality experience.
Our ideal Gallery Assistant will:
Make a great cup of coffee
An essential component of this role will be running the VAS coffee cart, as well as hospitality shifts for events.
Provide excellent customer service
In the VAS, this includes everything from answering the phones to chatting about art with members at the coffee cart.
Be a team player
On install days, opening nights and various other occasions, it's all hands on deck. This includes light physical labour. Willingness to jump into any task is key
Fit our team culture
We're a tight knit team of creatives who take the work seriously, not ourselves. We work hard under pressure and genuinely enjoy each other's company.
Have great admin skills
Reporting directly to our Education & Programs coordinator, our new GA will learn our website and provide support in setting up online content and scheduling.
Work independently
Everyone on our team is busy Our ideal GA can self direct their task load and take initiative to help out others when available.
Have an active arts practice
As a Society dedicated to supporting artists, we prioritise offering opportunities to like minded creatives.
