The Opportunity

As Estimations Manager, you'll sit on the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), overseeing the performance, accuracy, and strategic direction of our Estimations Department. You'll be the bridge between operational execution and strategic growth, ensuring that the quality, speed, and consistency of our estimating processes enable the wider business to thrive.

This is a role where leadership meets technical expertise – you'll guide a skilled team of estimators, streamline systems and workflows, and provide senior oversight that drives both client satisfaction and profitability.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead and inspire the Estimations Department to deliver high-quality, timely, and accurate estimates.
  • Oversee large and complex insurance repair and construction projects, ensuring costings and scopes of work meet business and client expectations.
  • Streamline estimating systems, processes, and workflows for efficiency and scalability.
  • Provide clear strategic direction and leadership within the SLT, contributing to business growth and innovation.
  • Develop, coach, and empower your team, building capability for future leaders.
  • Collaborate with project management, operations, and finance teams to ensure alignment and delivery against KPIs.
  • Monitor, report, and interpret estimation data to inform decisions and drive profitability.
  • Build strong relationships with key clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Challenge the status quo – bring new ideas and ways of working that enhance performance.

  • Strong technical knowledge of estimating processes, systems, and workflows.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to balance accuracy, efficiency, and profitability.

  • Strategic thinking, with a sharp eye for detail and the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
