We're a cozy, neighbourhood wine bar that prides itself on creating a relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere. We have a small dedicated team and are looking for an experienced Venue Manager to take ownership of operations and be the face of the venue.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Venue Manager at our Wine Bar located in Cronulla, NSW.

Roles and Responsibilities/Position Description

As the Venue Manager you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the following:

  • Ensure profitability.
  • Manage customer expectation.
  • Promote and grow the business,
  • Ensure a high level of service at all times
  • Managing inventory including clear and concise structuring & communication of stock control
  • Coordinate and facilitate customer events and manage bookings as required .
  • Ensure that quality and safety controls are followed,
  • Maintain compliance with all licencing requirements and council guidelines.
  • Assist in setting business objectives to increase profits and maximise customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and maintain a high level of standard in regards to RSA requirements guidelines.
  • Keep all required stock levels by ordering and procuring as necessary.

Key skills required and expected to maintain the position are:

  • Excellent computer, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to diffuse difficult situations and resolve conflicts.
  • Willingness to work during hospitality hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Effectively delegate responsibilities and maximize resources.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and occasionally carry heavy items in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
  • Be observant and have the ability to think critically and efficiently.
  • Be a skilled communicator with excellent problem-solving, observation, and interpersonal skills.
