
Senior Legal Counsel

We're a dynamic and growing family law firm with offices across Sydney. As we expand, we're looking for three x Senior Counsels to help lead us through our next stage of growth.
These are key senior positions requiring strong leadership, suited to an experienced lawyer with strong expertise in either Family Law, Wills and Estates or Commercial Law, or all three
As our Family Associate you'll;
- Provide clear, practical, and empathetic advice to clients on a wide range of family law matters, including separation, divorce, parenting arrangements, property settlements, and financial agreements.
- Prepare legal documents including affidavits, consent orders, binding financial agreements, and court applications.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and Family Court proceedings.
- Work collaboratively with external professionals (such as counsellors, financial advisers, and child specialists) to achieve holistic client outcomes.
- Assist clients in exploring alternative dispute resolution pathways to minimise conflict and achieve timely, cost-effective outcomes.
As our Wills and Estates Associate you'll;
- Advise on all aspects of estate planning, wills, powers of attorney, and enduring guardianships
- Handle probate applications, estate administration, and contested estate matters (including family provision claims)
- Represent clients in estate litigation and manage dispute resolution processes
As our Commercial Associate you'll;
- Provide advice on commercial transactions, contracts, and regulatory obligations
- Provide advice on commercial leases
- Identify legal, commercial, and reputational risks, and recommend mitigation strategies
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements
- Lead contract negotiations with clients, suppliers, and partners
- Advise on corporate structures, shareholder agreements, and corporate governance matters
- Ensure compliance with the Corporations Act, ASIC requirements, and directors' duties
- Manage commercial disputes, litigation, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR)
- Develop internal policies and training to support compliance
To be successfully considered for any of these roles you'll bring;
- At least 7 years PAE in your chosen area of law.
- Demonstrated experience handling complex matters and representing clients at a high level.
- Strong ability to build referral networks and contribute to firm growth.
- Commitment to professional and ethical standards, with meticulous file management.
- Experience in mediation, arbitration and collaborative law (highly regarded).
- Exceptional drafting, advisory and communication skills.
- A client-focused, empathetic approach with strong emotional intelligence.
- Current Australian legal practising certificate required at time of application.
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency required for this position.
