About the role

As a Disability Support Worker at IM WITH YOU', you will play a vital role in supporting individuals living with disabilities. Working part-time in Mount Waverley and across Melbourne Victoria, you will provide compassionate and tailored care to empower our clients and help them live their best lives.

What you'll be doing

  1. Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
  2. Accompanying clients to appointments, social events, and community activities to facilitate their full participation
  3. Implementing individual support plans to ensure clients' specific needs are met
  4. Advocating for clients' rights and promoting their independence, dignity, and wellbeing
  5. Maintaining detailed records and communicating effectively with the broader care team
  6. Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety standards

What we're looking for

  1. Previous experience in a similar disability support or community services role
  2. A genuine passion for working with individuals living with disabilities
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
  4. Patience, empathy, and a commitment to promoting the rights and autonomy of our clients
  5. Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
  6. Previous experience with both physical and mental health disability.
