The Opportunity

We're looking for a 
Senior Account Director
 to play a pivotal role in our Sydney team.

This is a critical leadership role where you'll not only manage relationships and deliver projects, but also 
strategically guide our clients
 — ensuring their brand and packaging initiatives are built on shopper insight, executed with creativity, and aligned to measurable business outcomes.

From FMCG packaging to full brand experiences, you'll work at the intersection of 
strategy and design
 — helping clients unlock growth and ensuring Cowan delivers bold, commercially impactful solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Lead high-impact consumer brand projects — starting with packaging and extending across every key touchpoint
  • Act as a strategic advisor, guiding client projects to ensure they connect insight, creativity, and commercial outcomes
  • Build and grow long-term client relationships, ensuring both creative excellence and commercial success
  • Drive business growth by developing new opportunities and expanding existing client partnerships
  • Collaborate with strategy, creative, and production teams to deliver best-in-class work
  • Support and help shape the culture of Cowan Sydney

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years' experience in a senior client services or strategy role within a branding or creative agency
  • Strong FMCG and consumer branding experience — especially packaging and broader brand projects
  • Proven ability to strategically lead and inspire clients while delivering outstanding creative outcomes
  • A proven track record in driving business growth — across both new business development and the expansion of existing client relationships — is essential
  • Confident communicator, persuasive presenter, and relationship builder
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and drive strategic outcomes
  • Commercially savvy with experience in scoping, budgeting, and profitability
  • Passionate, proactive, and collaborative — someone who brings energy to the room
