
Project Engineer

- Provide technical support to Alfabs Project Managers by taking ownership of both off-site and on-site project technical requirements to ensure compliant and successful project delivery in accordance with specified technical standards.
- Review and interpret client engineering drawings and project specifications to develop required technical deliverables including shop drawings, installation methodologies, and Project Quality documentation.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Project Supervisor to develop comprehensive installation documentation that clearly communicates construction requirements to the on-site team.
- Design and document installation methodologies, including fabrication processes, yard assembly procedures, and modular transport logistics, to support efficient and effective project execution.
- Ensure all technical documentation aligns with project quality and compliance requirements and contribute to continuous improvement in project engineering practices.
- Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, technical codes, and standards.
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills and manage a range of tasks, often involving irregular hours and both on-site and off-site work.
- Utilise Excel, Word, Outlook, and MS Project to manage project documentation and communication.
- Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and regulations, prioritising a safety-minded approach in all aspects of project execution.
- Tertiary Qualification - University degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management Desired
- 5-8 years of experience in a similar role within a comparable-sized organisation.
- Proven site-based experience in an industrial environment or heavy industry.
- Proven experience in managing construction projects, particularly in the field of site services
- Solid understanding of industry safety requirements and standards
- Excellent written communication skills for preparing documentation and reports.
- Highly developed customer service and networking skills.
- Current driver's license.
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project
