We're seeking a proactive and people-focused Administration Officer to support an established Aged Care client. This is a casual opportunity suited to someone confident in reception, resident/family liaison, and day-to-day facility administration—someone who can keep things running smoothly while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

About the role

In this role you will:

  • Complete general admin duties including data entry, word processing, maintaining databases and producing reports
  • Provide minute taking, typing, photocopying and distribution of documents as required
  • Manage incoming mail (distribution and processing)
  • Deliver high-quality customer service, including resident support and family liaison
  • Maintain staff information notice boards and ensure current documentation is in use
  • Support admissions processing: resident agreements and facility tours (if requested)
  • Organise and confirm appointments and meetings
  • Assist with orientation of employees and contractors as directed by the Service Manager
  • Manage and maintain telephone systems
  • Maintain the asset register (purchases and maintenance records)
  • Maintain confidential records for employee training and personal information
  • Manage resident accounts and banking of incoming monies
  • Ensure appropriate stationery stock levels for facility needs
  • Assist with communication/clarification of residents' personal financial and social needs
  • Undertake archiving of documentation and other duties as directed
What you'll need

Essential:

  • Certificate III in Business/Administration (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 1 year experience in an administration role (aged care experience highly regarded)
  • Strong computer skills (data entry, documents, systems)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
  • Reliable, professional, and able to work autonomously
  • Australian work rights required for this position
