Role Overview

As the Marketing Specialist, you will work closely with our CEO to build on our existing brand and social media presence to further elevate the Box Rallies brands.

This is an opportunity to step into a role where your expertise, experience and drive will directly influence brand reputation, project success, and community impact.

Who is Box Rallies

Box Rallies is one of the largest non-government funders of cancer research in Australia, running our own unique outback adventures with thousands of people every year. We currently run five large format charity car rallies annually, with a collective fundraising goal of $10 million pa. In the last fifteen years, we have raised over $58 million for cancer research with 100% of those funds going to our chosen beneficiary and charity partner Cancer Council.

Box Rallies Projects

We run the largest charity rallies in Australia. Our brands are Shitbox Rally for which we run 3 annually, Mystery Box Rally and Lunchbox Rally.

These projects raise the funds that our charity partner, Cancer Council use to fund the best and most significant research in Australia.

Box Rallies highlights the research, how it is funded and places a spotlight on the researchers themselves, then showcases this information back to the community.

The extraordinary amount of funds raised, the positive impact we have on remote communities and the overall experiences of the rally teams themselves combine to become a hugely rewarding experience for all involved.

Passion

It is a very rewarding role but will only fit someone with real passion for people, fundraising and our unique brands – don't apply if you don't have the passion.

We are a passionate lot. Our founder lost both parents to cancer within 12 months hence the reason for starting Box Rallies. Everyone else that works for or with Box Rallies have lost loved ones to cancer. This certainly isn't a requirement for the role, but gives you a good understanding of the passion that is behind Box Rallies.

We are about people, fundraising and research before all else.

Role Specifics

·      You will be responsible for managing all META platforms, YouTube, Tik Tok, LinkedIn, and X across all the Box Rallies brands

·      Research the analytics using tools such as Google Analytics and Meta Insights to best support the fundraising department

·      Work with our web team for AB testing of our website

·      You will schedule compelling content (from our library of content) for all social media platforms

·      You will be responsible for editing raw footage of existing content to create posts

·      Manage spam issues and post checking on all platforms while conforming to all guidelines

·      Monitor and manage all posts including replies, comments and likes

·      Optimise and manage social Ads campaigns with a strong focus on targeting and conversions

·      You will be responsible for making sure that all documents, rally information, Box Rallies information, social and media platforms follow the Brand guidelines whilst ensuring that they show and describe who we are, what we do and how we do it

·      Collaborate with key partners to promote the Box Rallies brands

·      Among other tasks

What we're looking for

• 8+ years' experience in marketing, or a similar role
• A hands-on approach
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, you know how to adapt tone for different audiences
• Solid knowledge and experience with Meta Business Suite
• Experience running digital platforms and content creation
• Organised, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities with ease
• A collaborative mindset and creative spark
• Experience with video editing software
