Product Engagement Specialist

We're looking for a Product Engagement Specialist to manage and scale our in-platform customer engagement program. In this role, you'll be responsible for how we communicate with customers about their accounts, products, and investment opportunities – delivering personalised content, notifications, and insights that drive meaningful engagement.
You'll inherit an active and growing engagement program that's scaling rapidly as we expand into superannuation, introduce new account types, and broaden our investment offerings. This is a role with significant room to grow, offering the opportunity to transform how we engage investors from within the product team.
The ideal candidate doesn't need extensive experience, but brings an interest in investing, professional communications background, a sharp eye for detail and technology, and a passion for quality customer experiences.
Role ResponsibilitiesProduct Engagement Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute our product engagement strategy, managing the delivery of in-product content, messages, notifications, and investment discovery features.
- Collaborate closely with product delivery and design teams to ensure seamless implementation.
- Leverage personalisation, multivariate testing, and automation to scale your impact and improve engagement outcomes.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, content, ETF product teams, and other stakeholders to align engagement initiatives.
Platform Communications & Scale
- Support the release and scaling of new account types, investment options, superannuation products, and communications obligations across our growing platform.
- Navigate an increasingly complex platform offering – including superannuation, private assets, and multiple account structures.
- Work with data to monitor dashboards, build reports, and share insights with stakeholders to demonstrate impact and inform strategy.
Growth & Innovation
- Develop and advance our engagement and discovery programs, driving continuous improvement in investor activation, retention, and revenue metrics.
- Contribute to overall AUM growth through strategic product enhancements and better customer experiences.
- Leverage and expand our existing tooling for automation, AI, and other technologies that enhance processes and experiences.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and drive innovation in customer experience.
- Develop strategies for deeper personalisation and behavioural insights across the product.
- Contribute to Betashares' long-term growth and market position in the direct-to-consumer investment space.
- Interest in investing and financial products.
- Professional communications qualification or experience.
- Sharp eye for detail and comfort working with technology and digital platforms.
- Passion for delivering quality customer experiences.
- Data-driven mindset with ability to build reports, analyse performance, and share insights.
- Experience with personalisation, A/B testing, and marketing automation (desirable).
- Strong collaborator who can work effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
