Position: Mentor & Childcare Liaison Officer

Status: Permanent Part-time – 25 hours per week, Monday – Friday

Hourly rate: $54.55 (inclusive of all allowances/loadings), plus super

Centre name: One Tree Kowanyama Children's Service

Location: Kowanyama, Queensland 4892

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Participate in a review of the Mentor program monthly with Program Manager
  • Provide support services to families, staff and the local community to increase the participation of children in early childhood education and care
  • Work closely with local families to identify and reduce barriers for 0-5-year-olds to attend early childhood services and the promotion of the service
  • Support families, staff and the community to understand the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and Additional Child Care Subsidy (ACCS) models and the integration and access of this funding stream into service setting
  • Assist to provide a culturally safe and inclusive early learning service and workplace

Requirements

  • Eligible to work in Australia and live in Kowanyama
  • A current QLD Working with Children Check
  • Satisfactory National Police Clearance
