**Business Development / Liaison Officer – 0.4 EFT – Flexible working hours

We are seeking a motivated and confident communicator to join our team as a 0.4 Business Development / Liaison Officer. In this role, you'll be the face of Essendon Private Clinic (EPC), building strong connections with doctors, specialists, hospitals, and mental health professionals while promoting the services of our hospital.

Located in Melbourne's vibrant Western and Northern suburbs, EPC is a 32-bed specialist Sub-Acute Mental Health Service, dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. What sets us apart is the close-knit community we have cultivated. Our comprehensive services include:
- Inpatient Mental Health Care
- Innovative Day Programs
- Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)
As the Liaison Officer, you'll play a key role in connecting EPC with our partners, clinicians, and the broader mental health community. This is more than a coordination role — it's an opportunity to influence service delivery, support ethical collaboration, and make a meaningful difference in the care our patients receive.
Key responsibilities:
§ Develop and implement marketing and digital media strategies.
§ Build and maintain referral networks and community partnerships.
§ Engage confidently and naturally with doctors and mental health professionals to strengthen referral pathways.
§ Coordinate promotional activities, events, and newsletters.
§ Provide timely feedback and reporting to senior management.
§ Support continuous quality improvement and compliance with national standards.
About you:
§ Qualifications or experience in marketing, liaison, or public relations.
§ Outgoing, confident, and able to hold engaging conversations with healthcare professionals.
§ Ethically minded
§ Strong communication and organisational skills.
§ Proficient in IT, including Word, Excel, and social media.
§ Creative thinker with the ability to prioritise and meet targets.
§ Knowledge of the private health sector, especially mental health, is desirable.
Requirements:
§ Commitment to hospital policies, quality, and safety standards.
This is a contract 0.4 EFT position reporting directly to the Director of Nursing.
