About The Role
As a Men's Behaviour Change Facilitator, you will co-facilitate evening groups and provide centre-based group to men who use violence in the home. Your work will focus on increasing safety for women and children by holding men accountable and helping them develop non-violent, respectful, and equitable relationship behaviours.
This role works collaboratively with our integrated Family Violence team, including Women's and Children's Family Violence Counsellors and Family Safety Contact Workers.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-facilitate group sessions aligned with No to Violence (NTV) practice standards
- Partner with women's and children's services for referral, safety planning, and family support
- Liaise with justice, legal, and community services to support clients' pathways
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in line with program standards
About You
You're an empathetic professional with the confidence to lead meaningful group discussions and the insight to challenge harmful behaviours. You understand the gendered nature of family violence and are committed to increasing safety for women and children.
You Will Have
- Degree/Diploma in Social Work or related discipline
- Experience facilitating Men's Behaviour Change Programs (MBCP)
- Strong understanding of family violence frameworks and risk assessment
- Case management experience and familiarity with referral pathways
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
Bonus If You Have
- Graduate Certificate in Male Family Violence (or willingness to obtain – support available)
- Experience in the family violence or justice sector
Location & Conditions
- Primary Location: South Melbourne (with occasional travel to other sites)
- SACS Level 5 + casual loading + after hours penalties rate + salary packaging benefits
- Evening work required to deliver MBCP groups
- Must hold (or be willing to obtain): National Police Check, WWCC, and Right to Work in Australia
