Toll Legal is responsible for overseeing the Corporate Structure, Governance and Legal issues affecting the Toll Group. Toll Legal is structured along the same divisional lines as the Toll Group, and so the team are integrated within Business Units and the Divisions. This allows the team to harness their legal expertise, commercial acumen and understanding of Toll to facilitate the best possible balance of risk and reward.

The Opportunity:
Permanent Full-Time Opportunity, 3 - 4 days per week.

We have created a brand new opportunity for a Claims Coordinator to join our Group Insurance division at our St Kilda Road office in Melbourne. As the Claims Coordinator, you will be responsible for the management of a claim’s portfolio including general liability, property damage, personal injury and motor vehicle claims, under the supervision and guidance of Group Insurance. As a Claims Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

- Claims Processing: Manage end-to-end processing of insurance claims, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
- Documentation Management: Maintain comprehensive records of claims, correspondence, and legal documents related to claims processing.
- Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for all stakeholders involved in claims. Provide timely updates, address inquiries, and facilitate resolutions.
- Investigation and Evaluation: Conduct thorough investigations to assess the validity and extent of claims. Collaborate with relevant parties to gather necessary information and documentation.
- Negotiation and Settlement: Negotiate settlements with claimants or their representatives, ensuring fair and timely resolutions within policy guidelines.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with insurance regulations, company policies, and legal standards throughout the claims handling process. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with claims.

About you:

- We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, you'll ideally have experience within the insurance industry or a legal environment. If you have this experience within the transport/logistics industry that is an added bonus. Law students also considered.
- Strong understanding of insurance principles, policies, and legal regulations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
