A position has become available at Hare and Forbes Brisbane branch for an experienced warehouse manager. This is a fast moving and diverse role managing over five thousand products and over one hundred and twenty thousand stock movements annually.

In this role you will operate a warehouse management system combined with your previous experience as a warehouse manager to maintain an efficient and tidy warehouse.

Located at Coopers plains, you will manage a small team of experienced warehouse operators who know their job. This role is aimed at a seasoned warehouse manager whose goal is to manage warehouse flow while supporting their staff where needed.

What will you be doing?

You'll be working closely with our Branch Manager and supervising a small team of staff in a fast-paced environment. Your core activities will include:

· Overseeing and planning warehouse space for incoming containers and other stock deliveries.

· Actively planning for and managing goods receiving.

· Analysing Inventory storage and bin locations to reduce time in motion and improve picking efficiency.

· Track and resolve inventory variances.

· Replenishment of primary bin locations.

· Release of sales orders.

· Oversee and assist with dispatches, safe and efficient packing of orders.

· Inventory management and housekeeping.

· Liaison with transport contractors.

· Staff management and task allocation on a daily basis.

· Leading a team of 6 store people and planning for the day to day operations of a very busy warehouse.

· Consolidating stock locations using WMS.

· Managing stocktake and investigating variances on a day-to-day basis.

What Skills and Experience will you need?

To be successful in this role you will meet the following criteria:

· Proven experience in the operation of a Warehouse Management System is a requirement of the role.

· Demonstrated ability in applying time in motion principles to inventory location and warehouse layout.

· At least 2 years management experience in a fast-moving warehouse environment.

· Computer literacy

· Familiarity with Pronto will be an advantage.

· A current LF forklift license

Highly Desirable Skills
  • Experienced in Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and National Heavy Vehicle Regulation (NHVR) legislation
  • Experience in workplace health and safety systems, processes and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS word and Excel
