Huhtamaki is organised across multiple business segments and Huhtamaki Foodservice Packaging Oceania sits within the Foodservice Europe-Asia-Oceania (EAO) business segment, which operates across Europe, Asia, Oceania, Middle East and Africa.  We are one of the largest manufacturers, importers and distributors of foodservice packaging in ANZ, with offices and warehouses in 8 sites across 5 states in Australia, including a manufacturing facility in Windsor, NSW and a distribution centre in Henderson, New Zealand.  The business provides finished packaging products to a wide network of customers from global to local QSR businesses, as well as metropolitan and regional packaging wholesalers, food wholesalers, and club and hospitality suppliers.

About The Role

We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Warehouse Manager to join our HTP team based in our Berrinba distribution centre. This is a permanent position to help provide leadership to our distribution centre.

This role oversees the day-to-day management and operation of the warehouse and is also hands on in nature.  The right candidate will be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, will be accountable, punctual, reliable and highly organised.  A good work ethic & the ability to support, drive and work within a small team are essential.

Your duties will include but not limited to:

• Plan and lead the daily running and safe operation of the warehouse
• Drive a Safety first culture ensuring all staff are following Huhtamaki safety requirements
• Managing warehouse staff – coordinating their daily workload and managing productivity.
• Regularly providing hands-on support to the team with the day to day picking and putting away of product.
• Managing goods inward/outwards & logistics, liaising with multiple transport providers
• Maintaining HACCP, QA & OHS requirements
• Managing labour contractors onsite to destuff containers
• Responsible for ensuring good inventory accuracy including CHEP Pallet control
• Co-ordinate Inbound Container delivery and de-hiring
• Coordinating site maintenance, including but not limited to: racking repairs, forklifts, site presentation and warehouse audits.
• Open & Closing warehouse duties
• Co-ordinate Back Order management with customer service

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or management role is essential.
• Current Drivers Licence
• Current Forklift Licence
• High level of computer literacy with knowledge of MS Office
• Excellent communication skills both verbal & written
• Strong organisational and time management skills – managing tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills at different levels – engaging the warehouse floor, to management and other internal stakeholders
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast paced environment
• Be practical and show adaptability – problem solving in different situations
