About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Tester to join a major government program delivering complex, high-impact technology solutions. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks across multiple systems and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and extend test automation frameworks using C# .NET, including reusable libraries for testing complex REST APIs with HttpClient, and implementing secure OpenID Connect authentication and authorisation flows.
  • Develop and maintain UI test automation for Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM using Playwright for .NET, addressing challenges with dynamic controls and custom UI components to ensure test reliability.
  • Implement and manage BDD-based test frameworks using Req N Roll (or similar tools such as SpecFlow) with NUnit as the test runner, optimising test execution and performance.
  • Integrate automated tests into Azure DevOps pipelines, designing efficient CI workflows and configuring test reporting for rapid feedback cycles.
  • Manage automation frameworks packaged as NuGet libraries, publishing updates to Azure Artifacts and coordinating version control across multiple repositories.
  • Configure and utilise Docker containers for orchestrating and maintaining application environments under test.
  • Maintain and govern shared automation assets in Git-based repositories (Azure Repos or GitHub), applying effective branching strategies for collaboration.
  • Contribute to the Test Automation Roadmap in partnership with the Test Manager, measuring progress and demonstrating uplift through automation metrics.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Senior Automation Tester in enterprise-scale or government projects.
  • Strong technical skills in C#, .NET, Playwright, NUnit, Docker, and Azure DevOps.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining automation frameworks for API and Dynamics 365 CRM.
  • Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills, with experience mentoring other testers.
  • Must hold a current NV1 Security Clearance (mandatory).

Why Join

  • Hybrid work flexibility from Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane.
  • Long-term contract through June 2026, with a strong likelihood of extension.
