- Identify and mitigate risks early by ensuring comprehensive test coverage in uncertain, fast-changing environments.
- Define and monitor QA metrics and drive continuous improvement across test cycles.
- Create and maintain traceable documentation from requirements through to verification and validation results, with strong focus on IoT fixture test documentation to ensure clarity and reproducibility.
- Drive defect triage, root cause analysis, and feedback loops into development and test strategies.
- Contribute to the creation of test automation frameworks and test harnesses, particularly for firmware and low-level integrations.
- Manage QA deliverables effectively under high-pressure and tight turnaround schedules to meet project milestones without compromising quality.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of QA/testing experience, including hands-on testing of firmware and embedded systems.
- Proven track record working in IoT environments, testing across firmware, hardware, and software stacks.
- Strong understanding of test methodologies: system, integration, regression, exploratory, and performance testing.
- Experience creating test templates, reusable assets, and scalable test plans from scratch.
- Solid understanding of firmware development life cycle, debugging, and validation techniques.
- Demonstrated experience working successfully on high-pressure projects with rapid turnaround demands.
- Expertise in IoT fixture test documentation to support detailed test execution and traceability.
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as Bluetooth/BLE, UART, SPI, I2C, etc.
- Comfortable operating in fluid, fast-paced environments with evolving requirements and priorities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with development, hardware, and QA teams.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in edge computing deployments and real-time device management.
- Knowledge of healthcare systems, hospital IT environments, or medical device testing.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 62304, ISO
- Familiarity with test tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, and automation tools (e.g., Robot Framework, Pytest, Postman).
- Scripting experience in Python, Bash, or other scripting languages for automation and data validation.
- Exposure to continuous integration pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) and hardware test farms.
- Scripting ability in Python, Shell, or similar for automation and test setup.
