The Location

Surrounded by lush tropical gardens and sparkling blue lagoons, Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, Gold Coast offers over 295 guest rooms and suites, award winning restaurants and bars and over 14 conference and meeting spaces, all in an absolute beachfront environment.

The Role

We are currently seeking a Part Time Finance Officer to join our Finance team at the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, Gold Coast.

In this role, you will support the Finance team in processing all accounts accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with hotel policies and maintaining the highest level of service and professionalism across all financial operations.


Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Accounts Receivable

  • Post, edit, balance and update the accounts receivable ledger.
  • Liaise with Reservations, Sales, and Banquets to resolve any disputed accounts.
  • Balance daily transfers to the City Ledger and reconcile credit card charges to payments received.
  • Prepare and distribute invoices and respond to guest account queries.

Accounts Payable

  • Match invoices and delivery dockets with approved purchase orders and obtain required authorisations.
  • Ensure accurate General Ledger coding on all invoices.
  • Prepare and process payment runs in line with agreed credit terms and present documentation for approval.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to maintain compliance with financial procedures.

Income Audit

  • Prepare the daily revenue report for review.
  • Review daily rebates and corrections for accuracy and approval.
  • Verify F&B and Front Office cashier paperwork to ensure balancing.

Cashiering

  • Conduct monthly surprise float counts and maintain adequate change levels.
  • Prepare daily banking collections and support maintenance of the Automated Cash Machine.

General

  • Uphold grooming and professional standards at all times.
  • Demonstrate clear behaviours that align with our Service Culture and Marriott's core values.
  • Comply with all hotel policies, procedures, and Marriott's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
