About the Role

We're on the lookout for a Finance Officer to join our Brisbane-based Finance team. In this hands-on role, you'll support the Group Finance Manager and CFO in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of AO's financial systems and processes. You'll play a key role in delivering timely and reliable financial information to help drive strong commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing end-to-end Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
  • Processing supplier invoices, preparing weekly payment runs, and reconciling statements across multiple entities and currencies
  • Proactively managing debtor accounts and allocating payments
  • Contacting customers to manage outstanding accounts and payments, and discuss payment terms where required
  • Collaborating closely with the Sales team to manage customer account queries and issues to ensure smooth cash flow
  • Provide insights on customer payment behaviours to Sales team and CFO
  • Maintaining accurate financial data in NetSuite (ERP system)
  • Supporting monthly financial reporting and ad-hoc analysis for stakeholders
  • Building strong internal relationships across departments to ensure timely and accurate financial support

About You

You're a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You enjoy variety, can juggle competing deadlines, and take pride in producing accurate work that supports better business decisions.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • 4+ years' experience in a similar finance or accounting role
  • A relevant degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance would be advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounting systems, experience in NetSuite (or similar) is preferred
  • Excellent organisation, accuracy, and time management skills
  • A proactive, solution-focused mindset
  • Not afraid to pick up the phone and talk to customers regarding their accounts
