About the role

As a Senior Regulatory Change and Compliance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the management of regulatory and internal policy compliance within our Investments business area. You'll promote a strong risk culture and governance framework, ensuring our investment activities and projects meet world-class standards.

Day to day, you'll:

  • Provide regulatory and governance guidance to Investments, including assessing and implementing regulatory change impacts, delivering training, and offering ongoing advice on policies and procedures.
  • Lead regulatory change initiatives, manage associated risks, and establish governance processes aligned with our Investment Governance Framework.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Investment Governance Framework and related policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Develop, maintain, and integrate the Investment Policy Framework, ensuring alignment with both the broader investment ecosystem and organisational policies.
  • Oversee public disclosure of investment-related content, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and clarity.
  • Act as a key liaison between the organisation and Investment teams to support risk, governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and enhance risk management capabilities by designing innovative strategies and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

  • You know the regulatory environment and have implemented requirements like the SIS Act, Corporations Act, and APRA Prudential Standards.
  • You're experienced in investment governance and policy development.
  • You understand risk management and compliance in institutional investing.
  • You know financial markets and investment products, with experience in pension funds, banks, or asset management.
  • You bring strong project and change management skills.
  • You've designed and managed compliance, risk, and controls frameworks.
  • You create clear, insightful reports on risk and governance.
  • You're passionate about business improvement, compliance, and risk management.
  • You explain complex concepts clearly, both in writing and verbally.
