About the Role
We are seeking a General Finance Officer to join our Finance team based in Melrose Park. The role will focus on reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, purchase orders and general finance administrative duties. This role will suit someone who is either starting their career, has some experience and wants to develop their skills, or is looking for an opportunity to move into a finance environment. Those with a passion for numbers are encouraged to apply.
This role is being offered on a full time and ongoing basis.
You'll experience the work/life balance that comes with working a 9 day fortnight, with a dedicated and fixed day off every second week. You will still receive the remuneration of a full time employee in addition to the ability to salary sacrifice.

About You
To be successful in the role you will be able to:
- Show an understanding of general finance principles (i.e. Goods and Services Tax using a purchase order system and reconciliations).
- Demonstrate experience in assisting with internal and external audits relating to customer expenditure information.
- Complete monthly account reconciliations for client expenditure and reimbursements.
- Demonstrate experience in processing invoices within an accounting system, processing of customer expenditure and subsequent reimbursement requests in an online Expense Management System.
- Have excellent communication skills and the desire to deliver a high level of service to your internal and external customers.
- Demonstrate high attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills and an ability to work efficiently and meet strict time frames.
- Work collaboratively in a team.
- Experience in Employment Services would be an advantage, but is not essential; and
- Qualifications in Finance or a related field are desirable but not essential.

Remuneration
A competitive salary will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience. As Workskil Australia is a public benevolent institution, we can also offer a portion of the salary through tax effective salary packaging.
