The role

As the
Senior Health & Wellbeing Coordinator
, you'll lead a small, high-performing team to deliver proactive and responsive health and wellbeing support across the organisation. From managing the workplace adjustment program and overseeing Job Task Analysis (JTA) development, to guiding early intervention strategies and psychosocial risk management initiatives, your work will directly shape a culture of care and performance. You'll be hands-on overseeing some non-work related return-to-work case management and provide strategic advice that influences health and wellbeing policy, programs, and critical incident responses.

This is a dynamic, fast-paced role requiring confident leadership, strong judgement, and the ability to juggle competing priorities. You'll work closely with leaders and stakeholders to embed wellbeing into everyday practice, while mentoring your team and driving continuous improvement across health and wellbeing services.

What you will bring to the role

  • Strong problem-solving abilities to navigate complex challenges and adapt to evolving situations.
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with diverse stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Empathy and emotional intelligence to understand the needs and perspectives of team members and clients.
  • Confidently leads and mentors a multidisciplinary team, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on support across health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Ability to manage end-to-end delivery of workplace adjustment and early intervention programs, ensuring employees receive timely, tailored support that enhances wellbeing and performance.
  • Insight to apply clinical and operational awareness to shape proactive health strategies, including Job Task Analysis pilots, psychosocial risk management, and critical incident response wellbeing supports.

Knowledge and experience

  • Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations and Australian standards.

Essential requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications as an allied health professional or in a relevant health discipline such as behavioural and social sciences, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, rehabilitation counselling, exercise physiology or in a related field and/or equivalent experience.
