This role is based in Rumble, located in the heart of The Star Sydney's dining precinct. A modern restaurant with a contemporary take on South East Asian cuisine with a Thai influence.

About the Role:

The Venue Supervisor, reporting to the Venue Manager of Rumble, will be overseeing the daily operations of the Venue, including FOH and Bar, as well as assist the Venue Manager in overseeing staff operations.

Main Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leading & representing the venue, as the head of FOH, providing excellent and quality service to our clients & guests.
  • Working alongside the venue manager to ensure all standards and procedures are met resulting in consistency, quality, and profitability
  • Ensure the efficient operations in the Front of House and Bar in the absence of the venue manager
  • Foster an open and supportive working environment, training junior staff member sin the operations of the venue.
  • Complying with and understanding the HACCP and food safety protocols for the venue.
  • Assist in stock monitoring and ordering, ensuring stock rotation, maintenance and stock takes with the venue and assisting in maintaining the budgeted beverage cost percentage
  • Rostering and timesheet management of staff
  • Take part in regular interdepartmental communications and department briefing to ensure and work towards the collective goal of the venue.

About you:

  • Experienced in similar fast-paced venues with bar/food operations.
  • Full-time, able to work a 7-day rotating roster.
  • Strong experience in the Bar & good understanding of beverage.
  • Strong HACCP/food safety knowledge and clear English communication.
  • Proven leadership with ability to train and develop staff.
  • Full working rights in Australia and currently live in Australia.
