Your new role

We have an opportunity for an individual to join our Information and Digital Services unit as an IT Business Engagement Officer on a fixed term basis until 30 June 2026. Reporting to the Manager, Service Delivery, the role is a generalist role that is the conduit between IT's teams, communications, change management and business requirements.

Analysing the opportunities, obstacles, and requirements of business units to inform innovation; to inform coordinated, accessible design and functionality; and to promote effective collaboration between the IDS team and the rest of the organisation.

Duties include:

• Supporting the IT team's technical, process and system changes through a premises move. This may include IT procurement and contract documentation during this project.
• Provide options, support, service, testing and troubleshooting for solutions requested by business areas, escalating issues when required.
• Co-chair and support the Enterprise Architecture Board (EAB) continued development and maintenance of documentation including policies, procedures, and knowledge bases.
• Continue the engagement (business partnering) sessions, ensuring IT's proactive solution focused approach continues.

Our requirements / Your skill set

We are looking for candidates with the below experience and capabilities:

• Excellent IT and business acumen skills with the ability to communicate technology projects outcomes to stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and coordinate the implementation of holistic solutions to problems.
• Deliver tangible business outcomes as a result of critically evaluating problems from multiple perspectives and delivering effective solutions.

Due to the requirement to attain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance, candidates must be an Australian citizen at the time of application.
