The Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) is a member-based organisation that strives to set, maintain and promote high quality professional standards for rural and remote medicine. This will help to ensure that rural and remote communities have access to safe and accessible health care.
The College is seeking to expand our footprint with the addition of an Engagement Officer in Victoria to drive new business opportunities, enhance the College's profile and secure new leads into our training program, membership and CPD activities.
The successful candidate will be self-directed, confident and driven to achieve the KPIs required to build future sales pipelines. This role would suit an experienced sales or business development individual. Experience in the health sector and/or education would be highly beneficial.
This role builds on our pilot program so will initially be a 6-month contract with the intent to become permanent pending federal contract negotiations later this year.
Your duties will include:
- Identify local / regional opportunities for representing ACRRM to key target markets in conjunction with the national and regional strategies
- Regularly meet with and present ACRRM products and services to universities, student clubs, hospitals, practices and related settings
- Identify, document and nurture leads across the training pathway, membership and CPD programs.
Qualifications and competencies:
- Highly effective written and spoken communication skills, including confident presenting skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and work productively under pressure, remaining calm and consultative
- Strong sales experience including the ability to identify, nurture and close leads
- Highly organised, a commitment to meeting deadlines, and excellent attention to detail
- Commitment to excellent member and customer service.
