About the Role

Hastings Deering is on the hunt for a Service Advisor to join our team in Mt Isa. This is a Permanent Full Time, Monday to Friday role, working closely with our Operations team.
 

As a Service Advisor, you will:

• Deliver high-quality, cost-effective service with nil customer complaints.

• Maintain clear, regular communication with customers on quotes, job progress, and invoicing.

• Ensure accurate job closure with correct parts, labour, and misc. items for invoicing.

• Monitor job quality and efficiency.

• Accurately code all documentation in Microsoft AX.

• Verify daily labour hours, investigate discrepancies, and support workflow efficiency.

• Support scheduling, labour allocation, and segment closure with the Leading Hand.

• Assist in preparing accurate repair estimates and ensure timely customer delivery via AX.

• Provide accurate invoicing forecasts.

• Collaborate with Leading Hand and Technicians on job scope and deliverables.

About You

A successful teammate will have experience in:  

• Hold a relevant Trade Qualification

• Proven and demonstrated experience working within a Frontline service department within the heavy mining and construction industries.

• Sound computing skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft AX and Power BI systems.

• In-depth knowledge of Caterpillar machinery and a knowledge of products and services.

• Be able to maintain a high level of workplace health and safety.

• High developed verbal and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer experience.

• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver on expectations.
