Post is COMO The Treasury's city osteria, open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week. Post takes its name from its location – the franking room of Perth's original General Post Office in the State Buildings. Our evolving menu offers a contemporary take on classic Italian cuisine, guided by the best seasonal ingredients.

About the Role

As a Commis Chef, you'll support the kitchen team in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes that reflect Post's modern Italian style.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting senior chefs with food preparation and service across all sections.
  • Working with local and seasonal ingredients on a constantly evolving menu.
  • Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Following recipes and kitchen procedures as directed by senior chefs.
  • Taking initiative to learn new skills and contribute to a positive team environment.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery.
  • Previous experience as a Commis Chef or similar role.
  • A passion for creating good food and a strong desire to learn.
  • The ability to follow direction and work collaboratively in a team.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings.
