About the role

Based in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne you will be responsible for the installation and repairs of synthetic grass and base preparation works on our industry leading sporting and recreation synthetic grass project; your responsibilities day to day will be within the Commercial Operations division which is responsible for delivering all our synthetic turf projects through Melbourne, regional Victoria, and interstate, predominately servicing councils and schools.

This is a customer facing role therefore, to be able to represent our industry leading brand a professional neat and tidy appearance along with clear communication and a strong customer service attitude is required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Installation of synthetic turf
  • Synthetic turf repairs
  • Base preparation
  • General labouring
  • Willingness to work overtime, including some weekend work as required
  • Synthetic turf grooming duties
  • Keeping all tools and equipment clean and in good order
  • Be able to follow instructions and work autonomously

Skills and Requirements

  • Broad synthetic turf knowledge and experience (or carpet laying experience)
  • Experience operating relevant machinery is an advantage i.e ride on grooming equipment, handheld grooming equipment, motorised backpack blowers
  • Friendly can-do attitude
  • Self-Motivated, organized, physically fit & ability to work autonomously
  • High attention to detail
  • Must have a valid current driver's license
  • Construction Industry White Card – or prepared to gain certification
  • Working with children - or able and prepared to gain certification
  • Some travel is required as part of this role, which includes regional VIC and interstate.

If you are an experienced synthetic turf installer it will be an advantage however, if you are a carpet installer and are looking for your next career step we are willing to train the right person for the role.
