About the Role

As our AP/Payroll Officer, you'll play a key role in our finance team, with primary responsibility for managing day-to-day accounts payable and payroll functions (approximately 70% accounts payable and 30% payroll). You'll ensure accurate data entry, timely payments, and financial accuracy, while collaboratively with teams across departments and international locations.

Bringing a proactive mindset and a can-do attitude, you'll contribute to the smooth operation of our finance function and support the continuous improvement of systems, processes, and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate and timely accounts payable data entry and reconcile supplier transactions.
  • Process vendor invoices and ensure prompt payments in line with company policies.
  • Respond to and resolve supplier and internal payment-related queries professionally and efficiently
  • Prepare and process international payroll, ensuring accurate calculations for wages, taxes, and deductions.
  • Apply correct general ledger and cost centre coding to support effective expense tracking and reporting.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records for all accounts payable and payroll activities.
  • Assist with month-end closing, including account reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Support ongoing improvements in finance processes and ensure compliance with internal controls and relevant regulations.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.

About You

You are detail-focused, proactive, and bring strong experience in both accounts payable and payroll, ideally in a multi-entity or international environment. You're confident handling multiple priorities and enjoy working in a collaborative, team-oriented setting. Your strong work ethic, initiative, and positive outlook make you a trusted and reliable team member.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Solid experience in accounts payable and payroll, preferably across multiple countries or business units.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger and cost centre coding practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems (Xero experience is a plus but not required).
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with international payroll tax requirements is highly regarded
  • A hands-on, can-do attitude with a willingness to take initiative and continuously improve.
