The role will encompass technical and stakeholder management from presales all the way to service on multiple projects.Power Solutions>VPS Region APAC>Power Plant Solutions APACYou will be working with a team of engineering professionals across the region working closely with other cross-functional teams delivering competitive and compliant grid solutions.The Grid team oversees all aspects of the grid during the sales, construction, and service phases of projects throughout the Asia Pacific, with a focus on Australia and New Zealand.You will collaborate with a team of engineering experts across the region, working closely with various cross-functional teams to deliver competitive and compliant grid solutions.This role includes technical and resource management during the sales, construction and service phases, overseeing grid connection approval, grid compliance, and managing the balance of plant processes for multiple projects.Responsibilities• Review of Balance of Plant (BoP) design, drawing, and document submissions from subcontractors against industry best practice, law, international, and local standards, in addition to Vestas' contractual and interfacing requirements from the perspective of gridconnection.• Support power system studies to define the wind farm generator performance standards and to develop the wind farm control system functional design specification andreactive plant requirements. Coordinate activities with the grid modeling department.• Simulation and modeling of the wind Power Plant including WTG, PV, and storage.• Research and prepare formal responses to inquiries regarding wind farm technical performance. Prepare and deliver technical presentations to customers.• Ensure grid connection deliverables required to be submitted by Vestas are provided in a timely, safe and high-quality manner.• Assessing the performance, efficiency, and reliability of the balance of plant systems specific to renewable energy projects.• Identifying and resolving issues and inefficiencies within the balance of plant systems. This involves diagnosing problems, conducting root cause analysis, reviewing documents, and coordinating with other teams.• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure grid connection issues are resolved promptly.• Engage and manage consultants when required.• Attend and provide input to various safety, design, technical, and risk meetings, workshops, and reviews.• Documentation and Reporting- Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and document all grid connection activities, milestones, and outcomes.• Review grid connection documents.Qualifications• Electrical engineering (power systems knowledge) with a minimum of 3-4 years' experience.• Registered or Certified Professional Engineer (RPEng or CPEng) preferred.Competencies:• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and solve problems.• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.• Experience in working together with international stakeholders.• Must have experience with PSCAD, PSSe, and/or Powerfactory.• Experience in the electricity generation sector.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively.• Experience in wind and or other renewable industries is preferred.Additional information• All potential employees will be subject to undertake a full medical assessment to be considered for this role.• Please note: We do amend or withdraw our jobs and reserve the right to do so at any time, including before the advertised closing date.Our BenefitsJoin the World's Leading Wind Energy Solutions ProviderExcellent Career Development opportunities both Nationally and GloballyA workplace that embraces Diversity and InclusionFlexible workplace arrangements18 weeks Paid LeaveEmployee Assistance ProgramVestas is an equal opportunity employer.
