About The Role
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will work closely with both the design and power systems teams, contributing to concept and detailed designs as well as power system studies across a range of generator projects. This role also provides a clear pathway to develop into a Power Systems Engineer, an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to build one of the most in-demand skill sets in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver concept and detailed designs for renewable grid connection projects, including solar, wind, BESS, and hybrid systems.
  • Prepare layouts and general arrangements for generators, PV systems, and associated infrastructure.
  • Contribute to power system studies such as load flow analysis, fault level assessments, and connection studies.
  • Work closely with project engineers and clients to ensure technical excellence and successful project outcomes.
  • Progress into broader responsibilities over time, including project management and advanced power systems analysis.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 2 - 3 years' experience in an electrical design engineering role
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and PVsyst with a willingness to be hands-on in drafting and design delivery.
  • Experience or interest in renewable grid connection projects.
  • Strong technical grounding with ambition to expand into power systems and project engineering.
  • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced consultancy environment.
