Yulu-Burri-Ba is currently seeking a highly motivated Human Resources Manager on a full-time permanent basis

About this role:

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the Human Resources function to support a positive, productive, and compliant workplace culture. This role is diverse and oversees a team of human resource and related professionals and plays a key leadership role in workforce planning, recruitment and retention, staff development, traineeship programs, workplace health and safety, quality management, and internal marketing and communications.

Through leadership and effective management of a small team, this role will:

  • Ensure compliance with organisational and governmental reporting frameworks as directed by the CEO, including funding, budgeting, and planning requirements.
  • Oversee that all staff contribute to the accurate maintenance of relevant data, records, and statistics.
  • Lead participation in quality improvement processes aimed at enhancing patient and Yulu-Burri-Ba community outcomes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to effectively harness and respond to client feedback and program evaluations.

  • Performance Management
  • Recruitment and Retention
  • Training and Development
  • Workplace Health and Safety (WHS)
  • Quality Management
  • Marketing and Communications

Reporting:

  • Report directly to the CEO, providing regular updates to ensure he is informed of all aspects of the workforce management, compliance and related organisational activities.

Essential:

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture, particularly as it relates to employment, workforce development, and community engagement.
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and WHS legislation.
  • Experience in workforce planning, recruitment, and employee development.
  • Ability to manage a team and lead change effectively.
  • Paid Working with Children Blue Card.
