Social Media & Customer Engagement Role – Açaí Avenue Preston

Type: Casual / Part-Time (with trial shifts and content auditions first)

About the Role

We're looking for a vibrant, creative, and people-focused team member to join our Preston Açaí Avenue trailer. This role is a unique mix of content creation + customer service. You'll be the face of the brand online and on the ground—building hype, making bowls, and engaging with our community.

What You'll Do

  • Content Creation:
  • Film and edit Instagram Reels, TikToks, and Stories that showcase our bowls, drizzles, toppings, and vibe.
  • Jump on trends and create original content to grow engagement.
  • Post and interact with our community across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
  • Customer Hype:
  • Chat with customers in-store and encourage tags, follows, and UGC (user-generated content).
  • Build FOMO and excitement both in-person and online.
  • Share our brand personality in every interaction.
  • Hands-On Service:
  • Jump in to serve açaí bowls with a smile when the trailer gets busy.
  • Help create a fun, welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

Minimum Experience & Requirements

  • Proven experience creating short-form video content (Instagram Reels, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts).
  • Confident on camera and able to present naturally.
  • Strong editing skills (CapCut, InShot, Canva, or similar).
  • Must have your own equipment for filming and editing (e.g. smartphone with good camera, tripod, lighting, editing apps).
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
  • Enthusiasm for food, health, and lifestyle—bonus points if you genuinely love açaí bowls
  • Must be based in or around Preston, VIC and available for local shifts.
  • Own reliable transport to get to and from the van and events.

Social Media Following & Presence

  • Active personal or professional social media accounts with at least 2,000 engaged followers across Instagram or TikTok.
  • A portfolio or examples of content you've created (personal, brand, or freelance).
  • Must be confident showcasing your presence on all platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook).

What We're Looking For

  • Energetic and outgoing personality—someone who can bring hype both online and offline.
  • A natural storyteller with an eye for what makes content engaging and shareable.
  • Willing to experiment, audition, and trial with us before being locked in.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, events, and busy trading hours.

Recruitment Process

  • Audition: Submit a short video introducing yourself and showing off your content style.
  • Trial Shifts: Join us in Preston for a couple of sessions where you'll create live content and help on the van.
  • Fit Check: We'll assess creativity, customer connection, and teamwork before moving forward.
