Solicitor / Associate / Senior Associate – Professional Indemnity Insurance (Financial Lines) | Sydney

We are currently recruiting for several outstanding opportunities within leading Insurance practices in Sydney and Melbourne, focused on Financial Lines and Property Insurance. These roles offer exposure to sophisticated and high-stakes matters involving coverage disputes, professional indemnity, and third-party property claims.

You will work alongside experienced partners and a collaborative team on matters involving financial institutions, corporate service providers, and professionals across legal, construction, and financial sectors. The work includes advising on directors & officers liability, managing complex claims, and supporting cross-border litigation and arbitration.

Key responsibilities include:

• Advising on insurance coverage and liability issues for financial institutions and professionals

• Handling D&O and professional indemnity claims

• Managing property damage and third-party loss matters

• Drafting legal documents and correspondence

• Supporting international disputes and subrogated recoveries

• Liaising with clients, counsel, and insurers across jurisdictions

Ideal candidates will have:

• A minimum of 1+ years PQE in insurance, financial lines, or commercial litigation

• Strong analytical and drafting skills

• Excellent communication and client engagement abilities

• A proactive and collaborative approach to working within a team

• A genuine interest in mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to team development
