Your new role

  • Manage production crews, providing leadership for operations and safe working environment
  • Adhere to Site Safety Health Management System and Environmental and other statutory management plans
  • Ensure all operations targets are met in line with safety standards
  • Schedule and attend daily pre-start/safety meetings
  • Perform and submit regular Safe Act Observations (SAOs) using site supplied documentation and reporting process
  • Build and maintain high performing teams
  • Monitor and evaluate production outcomes and maintain accurate records

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous leadership experience within an open cut operation
  • Knowledge of current WHS legislation and statutory requirements
  • Flexible and adaptable to different working environments, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Must be a team player with the ability to mentor and lead other staff
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • High focus and demonstrated success in maintaining an excellent safety record for teams
  • Competency using Microsoft Office Suite
