About the Opportunity
We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Accountant to join our team in a permanent role. This position offers exposure to a broad range of corporate tax responsibilities. You'll play a key role in maintaining strong tax governance frameworks, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements.
The role also involves collaboration with our parent company in Japan. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong technical tax expertise and a passion for continuous improvement and regulatory engagement.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Prepare and lodge various tax returns, including income tax, FBT, withholding tax, and ESL.
- Support transfer pricing, CbCR, and BEPS Pillar 2 compliance, including coordination with international stakeholders.
- Maintain and improve tax policies and frameworks to ensure strong governance and regulatory compliance.
- Review BAS, stamp duty, and other indirect tax filings.
- Assist with internal and external tax audits.
- Represent the company in industry forums and working groups.
- Ad hoc reporting and projects as required.
What you'll bring
:
- Solid experience in corporate tax compliance and reporting.
- Strong understanding of income tax, FBT, withholding tax, and transfer pricing.
- Familiarity with BEPS Pillar 2 and international tax frameworks.
- Ability to interpret and apply tax legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Experience supporting audits and managing tax governance frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
