About the role

Freestyle Air Conditioning is seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Technician to join our team in Newcastle, NSW. As a fulltime Air Conditioning Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair services to our residential and commercial clients. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a leading provider of air conditioning solutions in the local community.

What you'll be doing

  1. Conduct thorough inspections and diagnoses of air conditioning systems to identify faults and determine appropriate repair or maintenance actions
  2. Perform skilled installations, servicing, and repairs on a variety of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment
  3. Liaise with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on system performance and energy efficiency
  4. Maintain accurate records of all work completed and ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations
  5. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our service delivery through feedback and suggestions

What we're looking for

  1. Formal trade qualifications in air conditioning or refrigeration, such as a Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
  2. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as an air conditioning technician, preferably in the residential and commercial sectors
  3. Strong technical skills, including the ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematics
  4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues
  5. Exceptional customer service orientation and communication skills
  6. A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
