**Tell me about this role**:
**We are currently looking for an NV1 cleared Network Technician to join our team on a permanent basis. This role will have you contribute to simulation software/network technical support with complex engineering systems.
This role offers uncapped training and development opportunities as well as other benefits including free parking, flexible working and different leave arrangements including paid parental, study, reserve and volunteer leave.
**What will I be doing day to day?**
- Configuration baseline to enable efficient integration of the DTC into the Exercise network by the assigned need date.
- Simulation software/network technical support with complex engineering systems.
- Integration of components, systems and sub-systems including new acquisitions.
- Undertake system modelling and develop system architecture using digital software and tools.
- Documentation and maintenance of configuration status (baselining documentation with system configuration).
- Establishing and implementing change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and successful changes to the network infrastructure.
- Modification of the system architecture comprising of hardware, software, network protocol and documentation suite/s to enable Capability enhancements in accordance with the event schedule.
- Support coaching, mentoring and advice to RAAF personnel and other system users.
- The provision of systems administration support including service pack releases, patches, hot fixes and security configuration.
**What sort of skills do I need?**
- Qualifications in Networking, Computer Science, IT, Telecommunication or a related discipline
- Background as a Defence Network Technician or exposure to other Defence Communications Systems (Desirable)
- Experience in Project Management or associated fields desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Australian Citizenship and an NV1 clearance as a minimum
