Join our busy seven-day General Practice, Cairns GP Superclinic, in Medical Reception
While previous medical receptionist experience would be advantageous, candidates with a background in reception/administration, customer service or hospitality are encouraged to apply as on-the-job training will be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer incoming calls and manage emails on a busy switchboard.
Book appointments and manage multiple diaries.
Greet patients warmly and maintain a friendly environment.
Ensure cleanliness and compliance with infection control protocols.
Conduct COVID-19 screenings as per guidelines.
Handle patient enquiries and rescheduling, including challenging situations.
Assist healthcare professionals and perform administrative tasks.
Ideal Candidate:
Exceptional customer service skills with a polite, empathetic manner.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with multitasking ability.
Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
Willingness to learn, be directed and follow procedures
Team player with intermediate computer skills.
Valid driver's licence for errands (automatic vehicle provided).
Australian citizenship or permanent residency is essential.
Availability:
Approx. 4 to 5 shifts per week (25 to 35 hours).
Flexibility is required with shifts covering mornings, evenings, and rotational weekends during the clinic opening hours.
Current clinic hours: Mon-Fri, 7am to 9pm; Sat-Sun, 8am to 6pm.
