Thinkerbell is looking for an amazing Lead Earned Thinker (Account Director- PR) to join our team of Thinkers and Tinkers in Melbourne.

Thinker
is a strategy-account-servicey type of person who often comes from a background of adland, or media agency, or brand strategy, or earned, or from the coffee shop down the road, but is really really smart. They ask a lot of questions and listen very carefully for the answers. They're problem solvers and punctual, and know how to drive business results. They can manage processes and are business minded and they know how to get s**t done.

THE TASK AT HAND

A
Lead Earned Thinker
is a cross between publicity-types, strategy-types and suity-types; you need to ask a lot of questions, listen very carefully for the answers and always be on the pulse of the local and global news cycle. You are an emerging leader within the agency and promoting Thinkerbell's earned-led offering and its day to day function, with a big focus on driving business outcomes for your clients utilising the power of earned media. You know how to get shit done and be an invaluable team member mentoring Earned Thinkers and supporting Head Earned Thinker's for the agency's industry-leading earned offering.

You'll have three big things to do:

1.ON THE PULSE OF NEWS AND CULTURE

You're ahead of the news cycle and stay up to date with macro conversations in culture and cultural shifts in subcultures, as well as pop culture and what's trending. You understand how to leverage these moments for brand partners, in partnership with your Core Tinker, and how to best weigh into the conversation to generate earned outcomes for your clients.

2.CREATIVE PARTNERSHIP

You partner with your Core Tinker to bring big, awesome, scary ideas to life in earned. You know what a big idea is, how it looks and behaves and more importantly, how to bring it to life in the news cycle.

3.INTEGRATION AND COLLABORATION

We don't do silos at Thinkerbell, which means you'll be expected to think outside your craft (earned media). We want to hear your creative ideas, we'll want you to bring a Paid Thinker into an Earned project if it's the right thing to do and foster this mindset across the squads you lead. You'll take a collaborative mindset into everything you do, never solving a problem in isolation and integration will be your middle name, smashing down silos right alongside us.

We are an agency of Thinkers and Tinkers and have extensive experience in the worlds of media (paid, owned, earned, and shared), research, strategy, and creative execution. We have helped some of Australia's best known and most loved brands find their inner magic.

We promise to push you out of your comfort zone, and nurture your inherent brilliant qualities at the same time. The Institute of Measured Magic is our training and development program where we keep brains sticky with internal and external tailored training throughout the year. We also develop personal Measured Magic Indicators (MMIs are our version of KPIs) to ensure everyone is growing in their role and beyond.

Whether you are a parent to little humans, the caregiver to your elder folk, or you simply do your best work over 4 days rather than 5 days- we are all ears and we are open to Full Time, Part Time or any ideas that lie in between.

We kick off every week with Measured Mondays, our all agency, super-wip and finish every Friday at 4pm with Magic Hour, where we get creative and weird together.

AND on top of your regular leave, everyone also gets a Mind Expansion Project per year, up to 5 consecutive days of extra leave per year for you to expand your mind and explore something new (that is something you wouldn't normally do and something you've never done before), and then share back your experience with the agency. Pretty interesting eh? What would you do?
