The role

The Commercial Development & Management team within Property & Development NSW (PDNSW) are seeking a Project Support Officer to support the development, project management and delivery of commercial fitout and workplace projects. The Commercial Development & Management team delivers consistent, efficient, flexible, agile and dynamic workplaces across the whole of Government.

In this role you will support the team to provide optimal project outcomes and to deliver commercial workplace projects. The role will provide exposure and experience working on a range of projects from inception to delivery management. Projects typically involve lease negotiations, stakeholder engagement, budget management, consultant procurement, design including environmentally sustainable design, planning approvals, construction procurement, delivery management and defects close out.

You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly, using your strong organisational and communication skills to balance competing deadlines and maintain high-quality, compliant outcomes. With a focus on teamwork, process improvement, and responsive client service, you'll contribute to the efficient operation of the Property & Development NSW team and help deliver positive results across its projects.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills to coordinate multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in managing project documentation, financial records, and administrative processes.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach with the ability to identify and contribute to process improvements.
  • Sound knowledge of administrative and financial procedures, including invoicing, reporting, and record management.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, compliant, and customer-focused support aligned with departmental policies and standards.
