About the role

This role provides support to the Commercial and Risk Manager by partnering with business units across the BMD Group to enhance commercial, compliance, and governance practices. The position is responsible for delivering actionable insights through data analysis, reporting, and process improvement, ensuring alignment with the Group's Towards 2032 Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support monthly commercial risk reporting by delivering analytics, trend analysis, and insights into Group-wide commercial outcomes.
  • Contribute to process improvements within and across the Group.
  • Assist business units to strengthen compliance with BMD Standards.
  • Participate in project reviews, lessons learned exercises, and other performance assessments.
  • Coordinate the administration of annual reviews of Group risks (excluding HSEQ).
  • Prepare monthly reporting on Risk team costs against budget.

Skills And Attributes

  • Strong report writing and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage with senior leaders.
  • Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills with Risk, project, and business unit teams.
  • Collaborative approach to achieving shared goals and outcomes.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to think laterally.
  • In-depth knowledge of BMD Group Standards and procedures.
  • Commitment to aligning deliverables with BMD's culture, values, and Towards 2032 Strategy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM software, with the ability to maintain and develop technical expertise.

  • Undertake all tasks with a strong focus on workplace health and safety.

  • Availability to travel locally and interstate as required.
