Job Title: Disability Support Worker

Location: Greenacre, NSW

About the Role:

We are seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our team in Greenacre, NSW. You will be supporting people with disabilities to live independently, achieve their personal goals, and participate in their community.

Applicants who can speak and understand Urdu and Hindi are highly encouraged to apply, as many of our participants come from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Assist with meal preparation, household tasks, and medication prompts (as required)
  • Support clients to access the community and attend appointments or activities
  • Encourage independence and support clients to achieve their NDIS goals
  • Maintain accurate progress notes and incident reports
  • Promote safety, dignity, and respect for all clients

Essential Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Disability, or Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing/Disability)
  • Current and valid Driver's Licence
  • Comprehensive car insurance (and reliable, roadworthy vehicle)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC)
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Current National Police Check (within the last 6 months)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates
  • Valid working rights in Australia
  • COVID-19 vaccination compliance
  • Experience working with people with disabilities or other vulnerable individuals

Highly Regarded / Desirable:

  • Ability to communicate in Urdu and Hindi
  • Manual Handling and Medication Administration training
  • Understanding of person-centred and trauma-informed support
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts (morning, afternoon, weekends)
  • Positive, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting others
