About the role

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team at Prime steel frames and trusses' in St Marys, NSW. As our Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our growing company. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment and contribute to the success of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing the full cycle of bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Preparing and submitting Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other tax-related documents
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records in our accounting software
  • Providing regular financial reports and analysis to the management team
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements and liaising with external accountants
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing streamlined procedures
  • Providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role, preferably within the construction or manufacturing industry
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software, such as MYOB or Xero
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
