Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) – Part-Time

Location: Hewish Road Childcare Centre, Croydon

Our experienced team at Hewish Road Childcare Centre in Croydon is seeking a friendly, caring, and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join and support our Kinder Room team.

The Kinder Room caters for children aged 3–5 years and is led by a qualified Kinder Teacher. We are looking for an ECT who can work alongside our current Kinder Teacher to support, engage, and inspire the children in their early learning journey.

This part-time position offers 6 to 7.5 hours per day within our 47-place boutique centre in Croydon.

We are seeking an ECT who is passionate about:

  • Providing high-quality education and care for children.
  • Fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and safe environment.
  • Engaging in the KG Learning approach.
  • Stimulating children's imagination and contributing to the room's programming and planning.
  • Collaborating and supporting fellow educators.

Key Requirements

  • A genuine interest in children and their development.
  • Current First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis training.
  • VIT registration (or actively applying).
  • A sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and Child Safe Standards.
  • An ACECQA-approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification.
  • Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Child Protection training.
